Time Logger records your work straight into your Google Calendar, ready to copy into
timecards. Time things as you go, or enter them afterwards, and edit anything on the day's timeline.
1. Getting started
Connect your calendar. Click Connect Calendar at the top
right, choose your fullcrm.com account and allow calendar access. Google only asks
for permission the first time.
Add your customers (optional). Open Options (the sliders icon at the top) and use
Add customer, or Import a list a colleague has exported for you.
Log something. Pick a customer, set the times, type a title and click
Log to Calendar.
You'll need to click Connect Calendar again in each new tab, and
after about an hour. A pop-up opens and closes by itself; there's nothing to fill in.
The status at the top right shows Calendar connected while you're signed in. The
button next to it disconnects.
2. Logging time
With the timer, as you work
Pick a customer and click Start. The start time is now, rounded to the nearest
30 minutes (9:14 becomes 9:00, 9:15 becomes 9:30), and the date is set to today.
Fill in the title and description whenever you like, before or after you stop.
Click End. The end time rounds the same way. A very short job that would round
to nothing becomes 30 minutes, and the form tells you.
Check the details and click Log to Calendar.
The timer keeps running if you reload or close the tab, and the browser tab shows the elapsed time.
While it runs, Start becomes Restart, and needs two clicks so you can't
lose a long timer by accident.
Afterwards
Set the date, start and end, type a title, and click Log to Calendar. See
Entering dates and times for all the quick ways to set them.
Straight from the timeline
Click an empty slot on the timeline to set Start to that time, with End 30 minutes later.
Shift-click a later slot to stretch End to it. Then fill in the rest and log.
After logging, the form clears for the next entry and its Start is filled in with the end of the one
you just logged, so back-to-back entries are quick.
3. Entering dates and times
Typing a time
All of these work: 9, 930, 0930, 9:30,
9.30, 2pm, 2:15 pm, 14:15.
A bare 1 to 6 means the afternoon, so 3 is 15:00. Add a leading
zero (03) for early morning.
Type n (or now) and press Enter for the current time, rounded.
Clicking into a time selects it, so you can just type the new one.
Buttons around each time
− and + move the time 30 minutes earlier or later, snapping to the
half hour (9:10 + gives 9:30). Hold to keep stepping. Moving Start past End pushes End along with it, and
End can't go below Start + 30 minutes.
The clock sets the time to now, rounded.
The ▾ lists every half hour. In the End list, each time shows how long the entry would be.
↑↓ also open and move through the list.
The End = start + chips (30m, 1h, 1h 30m, 2h, 3h) set common lengths in one click.
The date
It starts as today. ‹ and › step a day back or forward.
Click the date to open a week picker (Monday to Sunday), which also shows the hours already
logged on each day. Arrows move between weeks; Today jumps back; Other date
picks anything further away.
4. Customers and titles
How the event title is built
Customer
Title you type
Event title
ABC
01234 (Login bug)
ABC - 01234 (Login bug)
ABC
(blank)
ABC, handy when the description lists several cases
No customer
Team planning
Team planning, exactly as typed
The line under the Title box shows exactly what the event will be called. A customer is optional, but
you need either a customer or a title.
Picking a customer
Dropdown: lists customers by full name.
Grid button (next to the dropdown): shows every customer's icon with their name. Type to
filter, press Enter for the first match, or use the arrow keys.
Recent chips under the dropdown: your last few customers, one click each.
Managing the list (Options)
Each customer has a full name (shown in the app) and a code (used in event
titles). Edits save automatically. A dashed name box means the name is still just the code.
Icons: click a customer's icon, or drag an image onto it, to upload a logo. Hover and click
× to remove it. Without one, a coloured tile shows the code.
Export JSON saves your customers and settings to a file. Import JSON or CSV
loads one. A CSV needs two columns, name, code. Imports merge by code, so an updated file only adds
or renames.
Remove all customers clears the list (click twice to confirm).
5. Descriptions
The description box supports bold, italic, underline and lists, using the toolbar
or shortcuts:
Type - or * then a space at the start of a line to start a bulleted list, or
1. then a space for a numbered one.
Enter adds the next item. Enter on an empty item ends the list.
Tab and Shift+Tab indent and outdent a list item.
⌘/Ctrl + B, I, U for bold, italic and underline;
⌘/Ctrl + Z to undo.
Pasting keeps lists, bold and links, but drops the original page's fonts and colours.
Descriptions are saved in a form Google Calendar understands, so they look the same when you open the
event in Calendar.
6. The timeline
Once you're connected, the right-hand panel shows the selected day like Google Calendar does. The
total for the day is at the top and the week's total (Monday to Sunday) at the bottom.
Click the ? beside "Logged" for a quick reminder of what you can click.
Each event is a block sized by its length. Events that overlap sit side by side.
Events whose title starts with one of your customer codes take that customer's colour. Meetings and
other events stay neutral.
The event happening right now is solid green, and a red line marks the current time.
The entry you're working on shows as a dashed block. It turns red if it overlaps something.
Lunch and other out-of-office time appear as hatched grey blocks. They never count toward
your totals and never trigger an overlap warning.
Not shown: Google Tasks and Reminders, office/home location markers, birthdays, invitations you declined,
and all-day events.
Refresh reloads the week from Google, for example after changing something in Google
Calendar itself.
7. Editing an event
Click any event on the timeline (or Tab to it and press Enter) to load it into
the form. The customer is recognised from the code at the start of its title, and the title, description,
date and times are filled in.
A banner shows what you're editing, with Open in Calendar and Cancel.
The button changes to Save, which updates the event in place rather than creating a
new one. Only the title, date, times and (if you changed it) the description are touched; guests,
reminders and anything else stay as they were.
After saving, Undo puts the event back exactly as it was and reopens your edit.
Meetings someone else organised are flagged in the banner: Google usually won't let you change them.
If you had a half-written entry, it's set aside, and the message offers Restore it.
The timer is off while editing. If a timer is running, click End first.
8. Copying details from another event
For doing the same piece of work again later: set the new times (for example by clicking and
Shift-clicking on the timeline), then copy everything else from the earlier event.
Click Copy from an event, beside the Title label.
Click the earlier event on the timeline.
Its customer, title and description are copied into the form. Your date and times stay as they were.
Option-click on an event does the same in one step. The message
afterwards offers Undo, and Esc, Cancel or a click on empty
timeline space leaves copy mode without changing anything.
9. Overlaps and undo
If an entry overlaps something already in your calendar, the first click on Log warns you and the
button becomes Log anyway. Click it again to go ahead. Lunch never counts as an overlap.
After logging, the message at the bottom offers Open (the event in Google Calendar) and
Undo, which deletes the event and puts the entry back in the form so you can fix it.
Clear empties the form. If there's anything in it, or a timer running, it asks you to
click again first.

11. Options
Besides your customer list, the Options page has three settings. Most people never need to change them.
Setting
What it does
Calendar ID
primary (the default) means the main calendar of the account you connect.
Enter an email address or calendar ID to log to a different calendar you can edit.
Google account
Optional. Pre-selects this account in Google's sign-in pop-up, useful if your browser
is signed into several Google accounts.
Round Start / End to
15 minutes, 30 minutes (the default) or an hour. Affects the timer's rounding,
the time lists, the − / + buttons and timeline clicks.
12. Your data
Events go straight from your browser to your own Google Calendar. Nothing is stored on any
other server.
Customers, settings and unsaved entries are kept in this browser only. They don't follow you to
another computer or browser: use Export JSON and Import to move them.
Your Google sign-in lasts up to an hour and only in that tab. Disconnecting forgets it immediately.
Only fullcrm.com Google accounts can connect.
13. Troubleshooting
Problem
What to do
"The Google sign-in pop-up was blocked"
Allow pop-ups for this site in your browser, then click Connect again.
"Access blocked: … can only be used within its organization"
You picked a personal Google account. Connect again and choose your fullcrm.com account.
"Calendar access was not granted"
The calendar permission was unticked. Connect again and tick it.
"Couldn't load Google sign-in"
An ad or content blocker is stopping accounts.google.com. Allow it for this site.
Asked to connect again
Normal in a new tab or after about an hour. One click, and the pop-up closes itself.
"No customers yet" on another computer
Customers are kept per browser. Export on the old one, Import on the new one.
Saving an edit is refused
The event is probably a meeting someone else organised. Change it in Google Calendar, or ask the organiser.
